Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My most memorable Vacation. I went there this past summer. Summer of 2022. I went on the trip with my dad and brother for a week. While in Cape Cod we stayed in Eastham, which is right in the middle of the Cape. Planning this trip was last minute. We had said we were busy the week of July 8-12, but had no clue on where we had planned to go. I was scrolling through TikTok on the way to New Jersey when I came upon a couple of Cape Cod TikToks that were of the beaches and towns. We wanted a place that we had never been before and somewhere we could go out and be active. After looking deeper I brought it up to my dad and brother. They thought it was a good idea. Later that night after we had gotten back from New Jersey I started looking for some hotels in areas that seemed cool. I chose Eastham because it was right in the middle. A 30min drive to Provincetown and a 30min drive to Chatham. The next day my dad and I sat down and booked the hotel for the week of July 8-12.

Driving in to the first part of Cape Cod was weird. When you first enter it is all trees and road. Turns out that the water on both sides were a couple miles away from the road we were on. Surprisingly, a lot of towns there were like that. I didn't feel like I was near a beach or any body of water, compared to being down at the Delaware Beaches. When we first got out of the car at the Town Crier Motel, the air felt cool yet warm. It was like a perfect temperature, to be out on a bike, on a beach, or just strolling around town. We grabbed a couple of pamphlets to look at when we were in our hotel room. Looking through each pamphlet, trying to see what activities we could do. When we had gotten there it was around 4, we had just finished around a 7 hour drive.

We just wanted to lay down and relax before we went to get something to eat. When we got up, we ate at a place called The Red Barn Pizza. It was a nice place, but we quickly learned that there are no waiters or waitresses in Cape Cod. They call your number and you get up to go get your food. Simple as that. One day we spent on the beach. To get on to the beach you have to walk down a steep hill with no hand rails or nothing. Just a steep hill of sand. The water was clear and a great temperature. Later that evening we decided to drive to Provincetown, MA. The town was definitely lively. There were so many shops to go and visit. We had a nice night wandering around and exploring what there was. Another day we drove down to Chatham and made a day out of it. We got breakfast at a place called The Hole in One. This breakfast was great. We walked around the town of Chatham. There was so much art and so many shops. Later we then drove around looking at all the nice expensive houses right on the beaches. The other days we went back to the beaches. Cape Cod was amazing. The air was great and there were so many activities to do. I would definitely go back again.
